Room door locks

I've spent ages trying to find 'legal' door handle locks for two new rooms we are building. The electronic ones are OTT and just need a simple key lock on the outside with a privicy button on the inside with the emergency override that the Fire Dept requires ....... any ideas who to speak to???

I have euro cylinder locks with a thumb turn inside the room. Very easy to fit (and change if you need to). You can also get them made up with a master key but costs a bit more.

I just found them last week, got them from doorstuff.co.uk at a very good price. Very happy and they work a treat, nice big thumb turns ...

We use coded door locks, these can be supplied with a key facility if you can this, on the inside of the door you have a thumb turn which we understand complies with regulations and you can have this also with a latch back facility.

Has anyone else come across this issue? We have a newly refurbished cottage that wishes to let with us as their agent and the building regs chap has made them make all their upstairs windows fire escape. He has told they cannot put on kiddi safe window locks - Yet we ask all properties with low sills to provide them?
Any thoughts would be gratefully received
