Wondered if anyone on here is a member of this scheme? It was 'sold' to me yesterday that 82% of guests want to eat local produce when they go on holiday. How much does this scheme/accrediation cost to participate in? I am not sure whether in these cost conscious times whether guests' are willing to pay the extra for this. Or is it that much extra cost in reality?

I spoke to the person who is running it at a Welcome to Yorkshire thing if I remember correctly it is about £45 for a year and you have to have 5 or 6 local ingredients however you get good advertising with it and a bunch of free stuff which is worth more than the fee ie menu holders. I'm not sure if it would be worth completly changing your menu but if it was only one or two it might be.
