View Full Version : self catering insurance
Can anyone advise me on this one. I live in a house with a small self contained annexe. We let the annexe out on a self catering basis for 20 weeks a year, and last year had no problem getting the appropriate insurance for it. However, this year I have been told that the criteria has changed and the insurance companies will no longer cover us as the annexe does not have a separate address and it's own utility bills. None of the home insurance companies I have contacted will include the holiday let on the home policy.
Has anyone come across the same problem? I would be most grateful for any advice.
Thanks

Have you tried NFU Mutual. I have been insured with them for over 20 years and when we started our self-catering business last year, they were fine about it. i have always found them very flexible.
