Assessment scheme contract tendered

VisitEngland recently mailed a leaflet to all its Quality participants announcing the re-tendering of the assessment contract which was launched on Monday 15 August – an initial three year contract from April 2012 with the option of a two year extension.

The leaflet also contains detailed information on the recent changes to the Hotel and Guest Accommodation scheme including a handy insert with the new scores for each scheme and the Silver and Gold awards.

The self-catering scheme changes are still being discussed with the other national tourist boards and any changes will be announced later in the year. The new British Graded Holiday Parks Scheme is being trialled this summer, but VisitEngland will meet with the specialist Parks assessors in the autumn to review feedback received by VisitEngland and the assessors during their visits. Some modifications are likely to be proposed.
