Following Gordon Brown’s cabinet reshuffle, James Purnell (former tourism minister) has been named as the culture secretary in the new cabinet.
Former culture secretary, Tessa Jowell now takes on the role of Olympics minister.
Margaret Hodge takes on the role of tourism minister. Before coming to DCMS, Margaret Hodge was minister for industry and the regions at the Department of Trade & Industry (DTI).
