Occupancy survey: free book for new participants

VisitBritain is offering new participants in its Serviced Accommodation Occupancy Survey (England) a free book entitled How to Market Your Accommodation Business Effectively and the chance of winning one year's free participation in VisitBritain's quality assurance scheme.

As an accommodation establishment, you may be aware or even have participated in the Serviced Accommodation Occupancy Survey for England. The survey is one of the principal tourism-related surveys carried out in the UK and is vital to national and regional tourism organisations in their efforts to develop and promote the industry.

The survey is straightforward to complete (information is collected online), requiring you to provide only numbers of bedrooms and bedspaces available and occupied for each day of the month. You can enter information as frequently as you wish – every day, once a week, or once a month for example.

In addition to the free book, participation in the survey will also enable you to view your own occupancy levels online and compare yourselves against other establishments.
