South West Tourism DVD on challenges of climate change
Last Updated: 19 Jun 2009South West Tourism has produced a DVD Changing Climate – Changing Business as a guide for tourism businesses in the South West of England, which could also prove useful to businesses in other parts of the UK.
It looks at the potential effects of climate change and advises how to structure business plans to respond to these challenges.
The 20-minute DVD, narrated by local broadcaster Adam Hart-Davis, features case studies highlighting the practical actions 11 tourism businesses in the South West are taking to adapt to the effects of climate change.
The DVD and its accompanying booklet also provide advice on how to identify the potential risks and a useful ten-step guide to help plan and adapt for the changes ahead:- identify the impacts

- reduce risk
- plan ahead
- check insurance
- practical actions
- raise awareness
- act now.
