VisitBritain has signed a new partnership with TomTom to download Points of Interests (POIs) across England, including quality-assessed accommodation, onto TomTom satellite navigation systems.

What is it?

This unique download service combines all relevant information in an ultimate 'on the road' tourism kit. Customers can easily access and transfer this information to a TomTom device through a special 'Add-to-my-TomTom' button on the enjoyengland.com website.

The 'Add-to-my-TomTom' button helps users easily plan the best route to over 17,000 quality-assessed accommodation options, 5,000 attractions and 500 tourist information centres. Specific icons will appear on their TomTom screen when they get near to their chosen destination.

How does it work?

By connecting their navigation device to a computer any TomTom user can benefit from this unique download in just a couple of simple steps:

• Log on to enjoyengland.com/tomtom.

• Select the preferred tourist information and click on the Add-to-my-TomTom button.

• Via TomTom Home, TomTom's free software application, the selected tourist information is installed on the TomTom device.

There are icons for the different types of tourist information, including the Enjoy England Quality Rose for accommodation. By clicking on this icon the user has access to quality-assessed accommodation on the Enjoy England website, from caravan sites to hotels to self-catering properties.
